Southern Miss-bound OF Carrie Green recently talked to Line Drive Media about Top Gun National-Turner, Grayson High, winning the recent 18U National Power Pool at Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July, Teagan Kavan, her mom’s (Christine Green) surgery, Southern Miss, forensic science, math, Caitlin Clark, Truman Capote, Beyonce, “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Little Mermaid” and singing.

Nickname: My nickname is “Scary Carrie.” I was given it by my first travel team, Fury, based on the movie “Carrie” by Stephen King.

Honors: Three-time All-Region, three-time Scholar Athlete, Super Six selection (2023), Gwinnett County Diamond Club Offensive Player of the Year (2022 & 2023), Region Player of the Year (2023), GADC Senior All-Star selection, GDP 1st Team (2022), 1st team All-State (2023), two-time honorable mention All-State, most hits in Gwinnett County history and Atlanta Journal Cup for Outstanding Senior at Grayson High.

Travel Ball Summer 2023 Stats: .512 AVG and .577 OBP.

Travel Ball Fall 2023 Stats: .475 AVG and .636 OBP.

High School Stats: .639 AVG, .676 OBP, 78 hits, 19 doubles, 64 runs and 110 TB (broke 11 school records).

Travel Ball Summer 2024 Stats (So Far): .470 AVG and .537 OBP.
