Event News: Arizona Storm National-Mathis Wins 3rd Straight So Cal A's Invitational Title (June 16, 2024)

#2 Arizona Storm National-Mathis captured the 18U title at the So Cal A’s Invitational for the third consecutive year, but this time they won the final via forfeit on Sunday at Harvard Park in Irvine, CA.

#4 Beverly Bandits Premier-Conroy and #17 Beverly Bandits Premier-Holloway/Mack reached the semifinals and decided not to play each other.

Arizona Storm defeated #20 BSC Bengals-Briggs, 1-0, in the other semifinal, which became the defacto final because of the double forfeiture by the Beverly Bandits’ teams.

Arkansas-bound RHP Payton Bunham, a PGF HS All-American, tossed a four-hitter with one walk and five strikeouts to record the shutout for the Storm against the Bengals.

The Storm defeated Firecrackers-RTY, 6-1, So Cal Choppers-Fausett, 1-0, and BSC Bengals-Briggs, 1-0, in bracket games.
