Newtown Rock National 2028-Kiskurno defeated Team PA 2010-White, 1-0, in the 14U Platinum final of the PGF Super Select Midwest Championship on Sunday at Victory Sports Park.

2028 P Mac Savage and 2028 P Mia Kiskurno combined for 27 strikeouts in 25 innings and a 2.10 ERA to lead the Newtown Rock’s pitching staff for the weekend. 2028 SS Gemma De Joseph went 9 for 15 and 2029 2B Ashlyn Curtier went 6 for 14 to lead the Newtown Rock’s offense for the tournament.

Newtown Rock-Kiskurno went 6-0-1 for the tournament, beating Finesse 2010-Lindell, 9-2, PA Lady Knights 2010, 5-0, Bombers Academy Gold 2010-Reis, 3-2, Reign 2010-Jasper, 2-1, and Team PA 2010-White, 1-0, in bracket play.
