There haven’t been a lot of impactful travel ball events in South Florida on a big scale since Rising Stars… but that’s changing later this year.
For players, coaches and teams looking for a top competitive softball tourney prior to the holidays, you’ll want to mark October 25-27, 2024, on your calendars for the South Florida Cash Bash to be held in Plantation, Fla. at three complexes.
The Cash Bash will have 18U, 16U and 14U Premier and Platinum brackets with five guaranteed games. Seeding will be based on the results of the team’s first three games.
And here’s the fun part: over $45,000 total in cash and prizes will be awarded for all three age groups!
Warren Wolff, the head of The Ohio Outlaws (one of the country’s top organizations) and his daughter, Emma Wolff, owner of D1 Fastpitch which runs elite events, have partnered with esteemed travel coach John Corn, who runs the Lady Lightning Gold (“LLG”) program as well as heading Summit Productions, which also produces elite-level events.
“Partnering with Coach Corn was a no brainer!” Emma says. “He brings the same value to events as we do, which is to create an amazing experience for the girls and families. He also brings a lot of experience being a past PGF and Alliance Director, not to mention his nationally known LLG organization and teams.”
“Sometimes I forget,” Emma continues, “how well my dad is connected on the National set as a former PGF State Director and USA Elite National Director… not to mention he was one part of the infant stages of the HFL.”
Although the event is close to six months in the future, many are already jumping at the chance to be part of this Sunshine State tournament.
“We already have commitments from some of the top travel clubs in the country,” Emma begins, “as well as a ton of commitments from major colleges coming out to recruit at the event.”
Emma is experienced in running D1 Fastpitch and directing tourney experience at the elite level and has become one of the top event directors in the country. She’s also respected for her ability to provide top-notch competition while competing in front an impressive list of college coaches.
Enjoying the Southern Florida weather, competing for the chance to make money for your program and playing against top teams and players. What other benefit(s) are there from attending the South Florida Cash Bash?
How about a little recruiting attention?
“This will be a top-notch event that will catapult your kids recruiting,” continues Emma, “not to mention that this a tremendous way to put your travel team in the national spotlight.”
