Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? The organization I play for is Lady Magic Allen 16U. I’ve always aspired to play for Lady Magic because of its reputation as one of the top softball organizations and programs. When the opportunity to try out presented itself, I was excited to take it. The competitive environment, strong coaching and focus on player development, teamwork and preparing athletes to compete at a high level really align with my goals as a player.
Tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals? PGF Nationals was an incredible experience. I competed against top teams from all over, which pushed me to play faster and smarter. It showed me the level of intensity and consistency needed to compete at the highest level and motivated me to keep improving.
What makes players from the state of California special? California players grow up playing competitive softball year-round against strong competition. We grow up facing talented teams, which teach us to be tough, versatile and relentless. But what truly makes us special is our work ethic, our love for the game and our willingness to keep learning and getting better.
Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? I would say our toughest opponent is Athletics Marcado-Tidd because every time we play them, it is a focused and high-intensity game. Playing them makes us challenge ourselves and play at the highest level. Even though we lost last time we played them, it was a close game.
What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? Balancing school, softball, work and family commitments has taught me responsibility and time management. I’ve learned how to stay disciplined, work through challenges and stay positive even when things don’t go perfectly.

Do you have any family members/siblings that are athletes? Juan Fuss, brother, played football and baseball; Jonathan Fuss, brother, played baseball and volleyball; and Daylynne Fuss, sister, played volleyball. Growing up in a very supportive, sports-oriented family has taught me the importance of hard work, commitment and dedication.
What are you looking for in a future college? I’m looking for a college that feels like the right fit both academically and athletically. I want to
compete at a high level, be coached hard and be surrounded by teammates who push each other to be better. I also want to earn a degree that sets me up for success after softball. Ultimately, I want to find a place where I can grow, contribute and be part of something special.
What college camps have you attended and are you planning to attend and why?
I have attended camps at LSU, the University of Florida, Arizona State University, the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) and the University of California, Berkeley. I’ve attended these camps to learn from different coaching staffs, challenge myself against talented players and continue developing my skills. I plan to attend more college camps as I continue my recruiting journey so I can learn about different programs, experience their coaching styles and find the best fit for me academically and athletically. My goal is to keep learning, improving and becoming the best player and teammate I can be.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I’m interested in pursuing a career in sports medicine, kinesiology or business and leadership. Being an athlete has helped me understand the importance of physical health, preparation, teamwork and leadership. I would love to learn more about how the body works, how athletes can improve their performance and how to help others reach their goals. I’m also interested in business and leadership because I want to continue growing as a leader and develop skills that will help me succeed both during and after my softball career.
What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? My favorite subject is math because I enjoy being challenged and learning skills that help me
problem-solve.
Who is your sports hero and why? I look up to Kendra Falby (a former 1st Team All-American, Softball America Defensive Player of the Year and Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner at Florida and AUSL player) because of her dedication, her leadership and the way she competes with confidence and respect for the game.
What’s your favorite book to read and why? My favorite book is “The Giver” by Lois Lowry because it makes you think about the importance of individuality, freedom and making your own choices. I like how the story shows that things aren’t always what they seem and that different perspectives can change the way you see the world. It’s a book that stays with you and makes you think beyond the story itself.
What’s the best hype song and why? My favorite hype song is “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars because it gets me energized and confident before games.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? “Gilmore Girls” is my favorite show because it’s fun, light-hearted and always helps me unwind when I have free time.
What’s your favorite movie and why? My favorite movie is “10 Things I Hate About You” because it’s entertaining and reminds me to be confident and stand up for myself.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? A secret talent of mine is target shooting! It’s something a lot of people might not expect, but it
takes patience, focus and precision. Those are skills I also try to bring to the softball field.
