Juliahna (Juls) Huber, the outstanding high school junior infielder at Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula, Ga, would have every reason to have her impressive accomplishments memorized.

Ranked No. 26 in the Line Drive Media 2028 HOT 100 released in early September, she was named 1st Team All-State as a sophomore last fall when she batted .457 with a .517 on-base percentage and had 12 home runs with 45 RBIs.
As of this month, she has equally strong career numbers with a .450 batting average, a .519 on-base percentage, 113 hits, 92 RBIs, 98 runs scored and a .951 fielding percentage.
Along with her all-state recognition, she’s been honored as the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Player of the Year, the Georgia Dugout Club Private School Player of the Year, the Defensive Player of the YEar, 1st Team All-County and Region, a Scholar Athlete, Silver Slugger, Christians in Action and on and on…
But for Juls, all those stats and honors are the results from the hard work she puts in and are a by-product of doing things the right way… which she says is how she was raised at home by her parents Jon and Jessica.
“My mom and dad have always taught me to focus on the work and contribute to my team and, if I’m good, someone will find me,” she explains.
That doesn’t mean she doesn’t appreciate that those in softball recognize her talents and successes.
“I have been honored to receive some awards in high school that I am really proud of.”
Her talent has also been demonstrated in how she’s helped her school team, Hebron Christian Academy, record a 21-8 record in Class 3A and win Region 8-AAA as of last Thursday.
The Lions are now in the Sweet 16 with a bye this week and a week from today—Monday, October 19—will play a double header to determine if the team advances to the Elite 8 in the state playoffs.

It’s been a busy fall off the fields, too, for Juls as she took an official campus visit to Columbus, Ohio, the last weekend of September and got to experience big-time college football Ohio State Buckeyes defeated Illinois 42-19.
What did she think about being on the sidelines of the game which drew—and this is no joke —101,452 people?
“It was the first college football game for me, and it will be hard to top!” she understandably answers.
The day after that game, Juls committed to the Buckeyes. Her Armor Elite club head coach, Chad O’Neal, thinks the Class of 2028 standout will have an awesome career in the Big Ten.
“Juls takes every opportunity seriously and is always looking for ways to improve—both on and off the field,” Coach O’Neal explains.
“Her work ethic, competitive fire, and commitment to getting better are what set her apart. The Buckeyes landed a fierce competitor who plays every play like it’s the last one she’ll ever have.”
“I can’t wait to watch her take that same mentality to the Big Ten and absolutely kill it! The Buckeyes got a great one!”
We recently had the chance to connect with Juls to learn more about her successes in softball and in all areas of life, including being part of a family where every family member’s first name starts with the letter “J,”
Here’s what the outstanding student-athlete had to say…

Do you play other sports?
I played basketball, but once I realized I could have the opportunity to play softball at the
next level, I decided to put all my efforts into it. Basketball was fun, but I love softball!

What’s been some of your favorite softball experiences in your career so far?
I would say there are three:
Tell us more about going to the Georgia softball state playoffs… what’s it like to be part of it?
It’s always so much fun, so competitive and hype… I love it! The entire atmosphere in Columbus, Ga. that week is amazing!
Let’s talk recruiting: how did the Buckeye coaches first find you to start tracking your progress?
Honestly, I’m not sure, I assume it was at a tournament. I received some camp information but didn’t know much until September 1.
I really appreciate the way they quietly watched me play and didn’t communicate through coaches, just waited until they knew for sure they wanted me.
It was a pleasant surprise, and I couldn’t be more excited!!
When did they offer you a scholarship?
On my official campus visit weekend.
When and how did you commit? What were the circumstances?
I took a night to think and discuss with my parents, prayed about it and woke up confident I wanted to be a Buckeye!
I got to see the coaches that morning and was able to tell (Ohio State Head) Coach 2K (Kirin Kumar) face to face, which was a really special moment for me!
What was it about the OSU program that helped you decide it is going to be your future college home?
The coaching staff is down to earth, with tons of experience in the game and Coach 2K has a lot of “old school” philosophies that align with how I’ve been taught to play and respect the game.
I love the current culture of the team and getting to know the players was really fun!
The campus is beautiful and very traditional. I’ve heard Columbus is a cool place to live, so much to do and the resources and support for student athletes is endless.
What did they say they liked about your game enough to offer you?
They said that I’m very athletic with a strong swing and they are looking forward to coaching me up and helping me become great!
Did the OSU coaches indicate where they see you play position-wise?
They indicated that the infield would have open opportunities available to earn, which I appreciate because I don’t expect anything to be given to me.
THE Ohio State University 🌰
Congratulations to softball’s Juls Huber on her commitment The Ohio State University!

Who helped you in making your softball decision?
Jesus! And my mom and dad.
We’ve always prayed as a family for discernment that when the time comes it will be a clear decision.
The moment was a bit overwhelming, so I’m grateful both of my parents were there to help me talk it out and sit quietly in the realization that Jesus has done just that.
Do you know yet what you will study in college? And what you’d like to do for a career after school and softball are over?
I am still not completely decided, but I am leaning towards majoring in Business, completing a Master of Finance in my five-year eligibility window and then attending Law School to become a Corporate Lawyer.
Are you related to or know anyone famous?
My dad played baseball for the Seattle Mariners; he wasn’t exactly famous, but he is to me!
What top tournaments/events will you and your team be playing in next year (2027)?
Show Me The Money, Scenic City Top 25, PGF March Madness, PGF State, Top Club, P5, Sparkler, Atlanta Legacy, PGF Super Grand, PGF Nationals.

Is there anything unusual or different about you that would be fun to share or mention?
I have two goats, Larry and Layla. Also, I’ve been dating my boyfriend since the summer of eighth grade.
Fun names for the goats! Anything behind that?
Me, my mom, and my sister came up with the names.
There really isn’t a reason behind the names other than we wanted them to start with the same letter and we wanted them to be people names!
OK, you brought up your boyfriend… so tell us more about him!
My boyfriend’s name is Griffin Treadwell, and he plays baseball as well!
What’s something about you off the field that not many know?
I’m a foodie! I like to do crafts, read and binge watch TV dramas.
What do you love most about softball?
I love to compete.
Softball has taught me so much about life and relationships and my parents have used sports to show us what hard work looks like and how it pays off when you really commit to becoming the best version of yourself.
I am always so grateful to put on a jersey!
In one word, describe yourself…
On the field: Competitive.
And off the field: Loyal.

You are one of three kids in the family who are all athletes; tell us about your brother and sister and what they play…
My brother, Jonah, is 15 years old and plays baseball. He’s a lefty pitcher and plays outfield.
My sister, Julisa, is 10 and just started playing travel softball. She’s still trying out all of the positions and actually had her first tournament the same weekend I committed to OSU!
Being a young person today in the world, what scares or worries you about what’s going on, be it locally, nationally or internationally?
One thing that scares me in our world today is the increase of AI usage and the extent of what it can do, which is alarming.
I’m worried that as it develops people will begin to rely on that rather than their own creativity and intelligence.
Also, it can make things look super realistic which constantly raises the question of what is really true and what is a lie.
Finally, if you had a magic wand and could make one change in the world today, what would you do or have done?
If I had a magic wand and could make one change in the world, I would make sure that everyone, from all over the world would come to know Jesus Christ. Jesus died for all of our sins because He loves us unconditionally.
John 3:16 in the New Testament says:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
